Preparing for Pregnancy
We have had quite the baby boom here at the office! I honestly feel like every day someone tells me they are expecting – which is just the coolest feeling in the world. One of the questions I hear most is “how do I prepare for a pregnancy?” or “Help – I’m pregnant, now what?”
Preparing for a healthy pregnancy begins with understanding our body. When we know what is normal in our cycle and understand what our cycle even is, we can better prepare for a healthy ovulation and cycle. Some books I love regarding this are It Starts with the Egg and Do Less. What I often hear from patients is that they didn’t know where to start on their fertility journey or where to get resources – know that we are here for you! I do not accept when patients tell me their MD told them to eat a better diet or to just keep trying. We need to break down your cycle and lifestyle in order to understand all the pieces that are impacting your cellular function. I do extensive training on fertility, pregnancy, and cellular health so I’d be happy to help you reach these goals.
For those reading who are already pregnant – you are doing great! Maintaining healthy and wholesome nutrition and supplementation is key as baby will steal everything from YOU mama! The supplements you take matter – so make sure you are ingesting whole food based supplements. If you are unsure of your supplements, bring them in and let’s take a look! My favorite book for pregnancy is Well Adjusted Babies. This book covers EVERYTHING when it comes to pregnancy! I personally believe that mama’s don’t hear this enough – but you were MADE to do this. You were made to create, grow, and deliver this baby all on your own. You are so incredibly powerful so step into that role 🖤
We have a couple upcoming classes to support you on this journey. Monday February 10th is our Wonderful Womanhood and we will be diving into our cycle and understanding our needs to support a healthy cycle and optimizing fertility. Monday February 24th we have Oh Baby! A Modern Pregnancy Class on tap. We will be going over mindset, supplementation, movement, chiropractic, and how those partners can support you during this transition.
